High-temperature heat pumps and waste heat recovery can play a vital role in decarbonising the industrial sector. Despite the fact that their potential has been remarked, there are several technical, economic and regulatory barriers preventing them from being deployed at a large-scale.

This webinar will give an overview of the state of the art of industrial heat pumps and will provide some clues about the challenges and opportunities to be faced.

This event will introduce two projects, SPIRIT and PUSH2HEAT, whose aim is to identify and overcome those barriers. Both projects will scale up different heat pump technologies for heat upgrading and integrate them into the chemical, paper and food and beverage industries.
